A Selection of Joining Techniques

Cassel01Joints
From Cassell’s Carpentry and Joinery by Paul N. Hasluck, ed., 1907 edition, an excellent resource.

A selection of simple lapping-joints for various purposes.  An essential part of any builder’s mental tool-kit.

  1. The lap joint used to be a very common “no frills” joinery method. Today its almost obsolete because of biscuits and dominos. Still a handy joint for general carpentry.
